I haven’t done a morning routine in a while, and I just thought about how skincare routines, especially morning ones, change with time. So, I decided to share my current morning skincare routine with you all.

Starting the Day

I’ve taken a shower and washed my face, and my hands are clean. I’ve been sipping on my warm water with a little lemon, though it’s gone cold now. The first step in my routine is icing my face, which I believe is underrated. You’ve probably seen it in many skincare routines, but trust me, it works. It calms inflammation in the skin and helps with clogged pores. Plus, it wakes me up—like coffee for the skin.

Applying a Detoxifying Mask

I have a shoot today, and because I’m close to my periods, I tend to break out a little—like many of us do. Normally, I use a hydrating mask, but today I’m opting for a detoxifying mask. My pores feel clogged, and this mask helps to quickly rid bacteria and oil deep within, preventing blemishes while calming and refreshing the skin. Exactly what I need right now! I apply a little bit on my skin and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Using an Under-Eye Patch

While the mask is setting, I put on an under-eye patch that has green tea and a little caffeine in it. It helps with my under-eye area, which is my main concern at the moment. I give both the mask and the patches 15 minutes to work their magic while sipping on my cold water.

Refreshing My Skin

After 15 minutes, I remove the mask gently. It smells so good, and I feel like I’m at a spa. Then, I spritz some rose water on my face. Sometimes, I mix glycerin into my rose water—it’s an excellent combination. Glycerin has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, and it’s so good for your skin.

The Golden Hour Serum

Next, I apply my golden hour serum. It contains kakadu plum extract (a great source of Vitamin C), hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and alpha arbutin. These ingredients work wonders for pigmentation and uneven skin tone. The serum is very hydrating and brightening, and it leaves a nice glow on the skin. It’s rich in antioxidants and something I use both morning and night.

Skipping the Moisturizer: All I Need is Sunscreen

I skip moisturizer and go straight to sunscreen. With the “All I Need” sunscreen, you don’t need a moisturizer, especially if you have oily skin. It contains kakadu plum extract and Vitamin C, which helps protect against sun damage and free radicals. It also has niacinamide, ceramides for hydration, and kojic acid, which reduces pigmentation from the sun.

Remember: with sunscreen, more is more! Make sure to cover your face, neck, eyelids, and even your ears. This sunscreen also gives a nice natural glow, works great under makeup, and doesn’t pill. It’s SPF 50 PA+++, and I never go anywhere without it.

Finishing Touch: Lip Balm

Finally, I apply lip balm. I’m currently testing Hy’s new product, which I can’t reveal just yet, but I love it. It gives my lips a nice gloss and shine and is super moisturizing.

Wrapping Up

My morning skincare routine is very simple, but effective. I don’t use a mask every day, but on days like today, when I feel like my skin needs a detox, I go for it. And that’s about it! I’m off to shoot now.
